Dr. Ken Abrams
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.

Why Choose Us?

As the airlines always say, “You have a choice in who does your pet’s eyecare!”..or something to that effect! Although Dr. Abrams was the first veterinary ophthalmologist in Rhode Island and in 1992 there were only 3 others in Massachusetts and 2 ophthalmologists in Connecticut, there are now several veterinary ophthalmologists who cover New England. Since our practice is small and is not part of a larger, multi-specialty hospital, we can continue to provide very personalized service to our clients and our patients.

Whether you call the practice for a new patient appointment or a concern for an existing patient, a knowledgeable and compassionate technician will greet you. Our completely computer-automated practice management system does away with the infamous words at many other practices, “Hold on while I pull your pet’s record…”, as our technician immediately accesses your pet’s complete medical record with diagnosis, recent treatments and surgery, and plan.

“Since his cataract surgery, Buddy looks out the window again and finds crumbs on the floor!  He goes up the stairs at 100 mile per hour and at eleven years old he acts like a 2 year old again!”
